Katakana Practice Sheets — Free Printable PDF
Katakana is the script of loanwords, foreign names and menus — the angular counterpart to hiragana, with the same 46 basic sounds from ア to ン. Tracing the characters over stroke-order guides is the quickest way to stop confusing look-alikes such as シ and ツ or ソ and ン. This page covers the full gojūon set in the traditional order; the voiced forms such as ガ and パ are indexed too — just search for them in the generator. Print the sheet below and drill them stroke by stroke.
What's in every practice sheet
- One page per character — a large model character plus rows of genkōyōshi practice squares to trace and copy.
- Stroke-order guides — numbered stroke diagrams from the KanjiVG project (can be turned off).
- Your paper, your grid — A4, A3, Letter or Legal, portrait or landscape, 6–28 squares per row.
- Free and private — the PDF is generated in your browser; no account, no watermark, no upload.
All 46 katakana characters in gojūon order
